Selling because I have 1 sniper.... And 3 scopes. Lol
Also want to put some cash together because girlfriends b day is coming up.
I should also have mentioned I do not post or drive. My bad on that one.

Revised asking price is 250. Researched how much it was actually worth and cannot fix the typo of "1" 50 instead of "2" which i had intended.

    Is this a genuine leupold?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 156 ✭✭Yoshimitzu

Tbh I'm still unsure. On doing some research, I found that real leupolds of this type go for 1000 plus dollars, and clones go at about 300. Both are fit to be used on real rifearms.
Basing my guess on the fact that I got it for 200 and the guy who sold me it did airsoft, I would have to say it's a clone.

No offence to be taken here,I can tell you now that itis most defiantly a clone. These clones are made in china and Indonesia. The Chinese clones been of poorer quality then the Indonesian model.Id would just mention its a clone somewhere in a post,I don't know how well it would go If someone bought it thinking they were getting real steel.Anyway best of luck with the sale.

Yeah fair enough. People should know it's a clone. I'd hate for anyone to think I was scamming them.
You seem to know your stuff on scopes anyway. But I find that its easiest to keep the zoom level on 3-4 max when airsoft sniping. And for that it does the job very well. I just had it lying around here and was thinking of selling it. But sure if nobody takes it, I will use it on my military themed m24 (jg bar 10 with the Leupold mk4, bipod and forest camo paint job)
Tbh airsoft scopes are just required to keep their zero at the basic levels. That's what really annoys me when Americans complain on cheap scopes for their 500 fps snipers. Rif's don't need M200 scopes afterall ;)

I don't think people are to elitist to buy clone scopes, seeing as thats what most people use. I think its more to do with the asking price that you've put on the scope. To be honest, and I'm not trying to start any sh!t here, its a little ridiculous :o.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 156 ✭✭Yoshimitzu

Ok. I see where you are coming from. But in all fairness,
    1. I paid over 250 for this new and it still works as I got it
    2. Boards rules dictate that an asking price be mentioned in ads
    3. The required asking price has NEVER been met in anything I have sold. Ever

So in short, you are not making trouble, but people always make offers.
    Have you one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,893 ✭✭✭Dread-Lock

I'm sorry I don't have an offer as I already own this exact scope (lovely piece of kit too and would recommend it to anyone). Except I got it for a little cheaper then you did :o.

And the only reason I posted was because you requested the thread be locked and I didn't think it was thread spoiling anymore. (In hindsight I still probably should have PM'd you and if you wish I will delete my post).

no no its grand. Out of interest how much did you buy it for so I could possibly revise the asking and keep it up another week or so?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,893 ✭✭✭Dread-Lock

The end total was either €80 or €90. That included all the VAT, customs duty, "admin fees" and whatever else customs could charge me for .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 156 ✭✭Yoshimitzu

    waoh. I was FLEECED lol
Ok then. New asking is 80 on it on the thread. I may have to post a new one since I made a dogs dinner on the price here ;)

    Cheers mate
