Well Lordy be! I was never a fan of premature Christmas Shenanigans but as soon as I become a mammy, BAM! I am filled with the Christmas spirit in August!

Anyway, to the point! Every year I get a new Chrismas Album for my collection. So I was wondering what your favourite album is? My current fave is this:

    :D

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

  • A John Waters Christmas? How bizarre! Doesn't he make off the wall films as well? I bought this a few weeks ago. Got it for €4 including shipping. Pity I've no cd player! I love Christmas songs sung by Frank Sinatra or any of the old crooners.

Everytime I looked at the Christmas albums in shops, I would be like, "like, hate, hate, like, etc" to the track listings. So a few years ago I made an album with all my favourite Christmas songs on it. It must be 3 hours in duration.

I had a look for it on my computer for the track listing but can't find it. Anyway I have all the 70s/80s classics, Slade, Band Aid, Wham, Mudd, etc.
Then all the old skool songs like Judy Garland - Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Dean Martin - Baby It's Cold Outside, Bing - White Christmas, Ronettes - Sleigh Ride, etc.
Then some modern classics like The Darkness - Don't let the Bells End, Gabrielle Cilmi - Warm this Winter (I know it's a cover but I prefer her version)

I also have some great songs that get overlooked -
Annie Lennox & Al Green - Put a little love in your heart.
Darlene Love - All Alone on Christmas

I love it and play it a lot in the weeks before Christmas.
