Possible to collect skybox from indo installer?

    Hi. A friend of mine wants to sign up with sly but wants to get sorted out tomorrow! Is it possible that he can just go to an independent installer and collect the box/card and sign up there - rather than waiting on an installer. Effectively, he doesn't need an installer to schedule a callout - dish and wiring already in place.

    Independent installers or anyone else won't have cards-your friend will have to get that sent out by Sky,looking at a few days to have it by post.No way around that I'm afraid-plus it's best to get an installer to fit the box and give the dish etc. the once over.

    No installer will give you a box prior to a full install, for obvious reasons. He only gets paid for the equipment once he has closed off the job with his ASA number.

    Some may give you a lend of an old box to give you some tv...but doubt you'd get that installed so quickly..
