    Hi guys,

Can anyone help me out with where to buy Gels and what is the best type to buy? I am based in County Dublin.

    Thanks for your help.

Whereabouts in Dublin? Cycling shops and running shops will have them - I've seen some in Dunnes Stores recently (but haven't tried them yet)

If you don't mind waiting a few days you could try www.wiggle.co.uk, great range of products and cheaper. I just ordered some and got free delivery to Ireland.
Otherwise all the cycle shops and running shops stock them, think arnotts still stock powerbar gels too.

The cycle superstore in tallaght have a wide(ish) selection of bars+gels; suggest you go in, buy a few of each type and see which you like/sit well with you during training. I havent seen any shops in the city centre with a good selection, its usually all just a single brand they stock.

Once youve an idea of what works buy em online in bulk from somewhere like wiggle.co.uk or chainreactioncycles.com

At one point I picked up some bits in boots (lucozade gels). The only problem with that is their stock can change and if they're out you might find it hard to find what you've been training with.

Not a whole lot in comparison with local bike shops these, for the sake of a couple of cent I buy mine from the likes of Wheelworx and Cycle Superstore rather than send it abroad. Both have a good selection of brands and 53 Degrees North also have them but I think they just do Powerbar.

Cheepest place I've found is hollend and barret, €1.50 for powergels, and you can get rideshots for €1.90 (There really yum)

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Was in the pavilions in Swords this evening and came across some powerbar gel's in the health shop so picked up a few to try.
