I really doubt you would get on in the shops over here. You could try ringing some of the game shops but I imagine you'll get no luck.

Best bet would be to order off Amazon.

Best of luck finding one regardless.

Should it not work with out the switch. Isn't the switch just to make it easy to change from TV to games console?

Thats what I was thinking, why not just output from the SNES straight to the tv?

When you say an RF switch, are you talking about the whole lead or the little box that sits on some leads?

    just the box ...

Well you should be able to use the wire, without the box, straight to the tv. Then tune the snes in to a blank station & away you go.

Auto-tune should find the snes, I presume the snes was on during the search? :p

Well it's not a switchbox problem, all the switch box does is act as a switchable splitter. Is the tv set up correctly (Irish region set etc)?

Dodgy connection I'd say. Those RF leads are rubbish, I've had a megadrive one go like that (don't tell o1s1n I still have an RF lead :D)...I'm not gonna bother replacing it, I'll go RGB scart instead - I'd advise you to do the same.

Edit - it works on another tv? Has to be a settings issue on the newer one so. Your prob better off playing it on the older CRT, retro consoles look ridiculous on 16:9 wide's.

    I saw that! :pac:

sophie1234 - I know you're eager to get it going now, but do look into getting an RGB scart cable for it instead.

The picture/sound quality is a million times better. Plus you don't need to tune it in either. Just switch your tv to one of the scart channels.
