    Hi,

I have above Pirelli tyres on car.
Rang a few garages & they said I should have 225/45 R17s on beemer & they were a bit surprised I had 205/50s on.
According to manufacturers handbook, the model is an E46 & it says you can have 205/50's

anyways,I need 2 new tyres & I was thinking of sticking with the 205's or I might stick 4 new 245/45s on...any recommendations?

    Cheers

PS car needs 2 new front tyres, maybe 3 & thats why I'm thinking of changing.

Find out what's correct for that particular wheel on your car - it could be that the 225/245s are for a wider rim. Unless it's a 6 cylinder i'd be sticking with the 205s myself.

If you're getting 3 new tyres, you might aswell get a full set. Having 2 different tyres on the same axle isn't a good idea. ;)

By the looks of it them two tires are the exact same in terms of demensions. So maybe it doesnt matter?

Change your tires in 2's or 4's only.
