Hi my Boyfriend is a named driver on my insurance policy. I am on a provisional but he is a fully licensed driver since April. He wants to borrow his fathers car for a trip to Clare in September so what are our options?Do I change my insurance policy over to his dad's car(which is a fiat merea which is much bigger than my ford fiesta) or do we ask his dad to just add him to his policy?Which do people think would be the cheaper and easier option?
    Thanks.

I'd imagine adding your b/f to your dad's policy is a better longterm solution assuming it doesn't hike his premium. They'll add him for an admin fee of around €30
