Does anyone know how to get off the bottom saucer a ZTR 165 drum mower. Is there a special tool for pulling it of or is it just prized off with force?

If its the same as the pz (which I think it is), then you just prize it off with force after you open the screws in the bottom of it with an allen key. We got a local mechanic to rip our PZ mower once because the drum shafts had been worn and needed to be rebuilt. It was such a hateful job that he put an ad in the local paper the next week to say that he was not willing to work on any more rotary mowers. :D

Many modern rotary mowers are built to cut only 2000 acres before parts in them start to wear (some far far less). A good disc mower can cut up to 10,000 acres. Worth the extra few quid IMO
