generator for outdoor gig?

    Hi does anyone one know which generator id need to power a backline (ten channel PA, 2 Marshall combos and a 100 watt trace elliot bass amp?

    im just not sure of the power output required

    any help appreciated :)

    On the back of each of you amps and PA will be it's power consumption in Watts.

    Add it all up and you'll know your power requirement.

    That's the minimum needed.

    Get something as much above your requirement as you can to give yourself headroom.

    Nothing electric/electronic likes being run near 100%.

    25% headroom if you can afford it, anything with power supplies inside can have large inrush currents.
