Hey, guys, do you have the experience of running your daily used apps off a USB drive?

Which is I am now trying to do. But I find that only portable apps can be run like that.

while some apps like MS office are not portably available. How can I do that?

I use Liberkey, which is awesome. Open Office (as was mentioned) portable web browsers. Anything really. Just browse away and install to your usb stick.

I've used Ceedo before to do this. It does cost cash($30 or something like that), but it does what you need. You can install whatever you want on it and it should run.

www.portableapps.com has a pretty decent selection of apps which should cover a lot for you.

Just stumbled upon Prayaya. I installed prayaya on my USB drive and then installed MS Office 2003 suite on prayaya. It seems working very well on other computers.

    You guys have any opinion?

Then some software places offer a portable version as an option ala freefilesync as an example.

I use 90% portable as you can easily back up/restore them from another drive and when making a imagine of your system drive its tiny because you have hardly any software installed.
