Vw Passat tdi problem

Hi I have a 2004 passat tdi car that was not charging battery and engine management light and battery symbol light was both lit up on dash… I changed the alternator and the engine management light went out straight away but the battery light was flashing but now has remained on permanently.. How do I put it out thanks

Maybe it also needs a new battery.

Had this problem on a Mazda 6.Try the Battery Terminals. Check that they are tight and have a good tight connection. if not replace the battery.

got it sorted was broken wire to alternator, i peeled back the insulation and repaired it..
