AAA Windscreens - Anyone got any experience??

    Hi,

I need a new windscreen put in my car and have been put in touch with AAA Windscreens by my insurer FBD.

However, I was talking to somebody else in the business who advised that they had numerous problems with this company previously and advised me not to go with them.

Does anyone have any experiences good or bad with this company?

    Cheers,

    Don

They've done a few windscreens for me over the years, and I have no complaints.
They were odd windscreens that had to be cut to suit the application, but AAA were very helpful and they'd certainly get a 'thumbs-up' from me for that sort of job.

    Cheers Rovi,

Have you had any dealings with Autoglass or Allied Irish Windscreens either?

    Cheers,

    Don

S or SE? They need different screens for the Rain sensors (I think).

Make sure they know which screen to bring.

Think it's AAA we use in work and haven't had an issue at all.

They did the wife's V50 last year. Perfect Job, no leaks, rain sensor still works. Was done in a couple of hours and ready to drive when I left work.
    Billed straight to insurance.

Can't ask for anything more than that.

The reason i asked is because i used to work for AAA as a fitter for a few years, the only screen i ever had trouble with was screens in citroen berlingos as they did not fit correctly sometimes. I would have no problem recomending AAA and they would be my first port of call if my own screen needed replacing.

I also worked for autoglass who also offer a good service but i think AAA offer friendlier service and have great after service if you have a problem.

I've used AAA before and had no problems. They came to my place of work, collected my keys and dropped them back after.

    Hi Don,
i am to get my windscreen done on my car next week and FBD have recommended AAA. I haven't heard anything bad about them but my car is a vintage so i want it done properly.
    how did you find them?

    Hi Marzi,

I got them to do my car recently after a break in and found them fantastic and they were great to deal with. Even 2 months later when I asked for an invoice it was sent to me within a hour

    Would highly recommend them

I've used them before and I would use them again. I've had no problems with leakage etc from the windscreen (the rust on the roof on the other hand....)
