I'm off to Lanzarote in October, does anyone have any idea what wetsuit I would need? I've got a 5mm two piece, which means 10mm coverage from your knees to your neck. would that be OK? it does me fine in the Med in April/May.

I was planning on contacting Rubicons diving in Playa Blanca. Anyone used them?

Should be OK. I've dived in similar in El Hierro at various times of the year, including November.

I usually dive there with a 5mm single piece suit with no hood.
I have dived the Gran Canaria with a 3mm suit with a hood, It was a little cool, but not uncomfortable. I have also dives with a single piece 7mm with a hood, It was a little warm with the hood on.
I have seen people dive there with a 3mm shortie and no hood.

    Your suit will be fine.

Thanks guys. i will probably just take the 5mm steamer then and leave the shortie at home. This is quite handy, as I have had the suit a few years and the shortie with built in hood is getting a bit tight ( thanks to Arthur Guinnes for that:()

I'll probably invest in a hood though.

We have booked a place in Costa Teguise, which is right next door to Calipso Diving, so i will either contact them or the Dive Shop as advised.

    Thanks for the advice.
