a group of us have been going to either the Nov or Dec meet for a few years, but alas as with all good things in life the group has disintegrated.

Are there many on here heading over for that meet?

As the dynamic of the group has changed we are also thinking of changing or accomodation. We've stayed in the same house every year and thought maybe a change might be in order.

Are there any guest houses with a bar, or pubs with a few rooms that anyone is aware of / can recommend? We even considered biting the bullet an staying in the Queens' which seemed like a good idea seeing that its likely we'll be in the bar there all night, but a €962.00 per room for 3 nights we thought not:eek:

Also if anyone wants a lift from Bristol Airport to chelt PM me. Land in Thursday night, and am the last of the group left that still lives in Ireland :(

I try head every year. I was on holidays in Oz last November so misses but 99% sure I'll be back this year. Absolutely love this meeting

Have you spoken to Liz Coe? I go through her for my accommodation. Have stayed in the same house the last 2 years there (and those who went without me last year did too).

I have seen (and drank in) a few pubs that double as B&B's but not an expert on prices/availability etc

Yeah, Liz has sorted the gaf out for us every year! One of the lads in London deals with her. After shoping around a bit via the yellow pages it looks like we'll be in the usual spot:( not really a bad thing, its bueatyful house in monpellier and the "bean an ti" is very good too us, even drops us out to the track in the mornings.

So would any of the boardies be up for meeting for a few pints over there?

Its never that busy early on in the day, would be easy enough organised.

Ive been to the Paddy Power meeting the last two years.
Stayed in Cardiff in an uncles the first year which was 1hr away on the train but that was a killer. So we stayed in the Holiday Inn last year and that was grand. Booked through Newbridge.
Price for 3 nights this year I believe is €650pps all inclusive. I have a lot of expenses coming up but hope I can make it. I head over with my da and possibly couple of uncles this year.

    I'm all booked

Despite the fact that I was reliably informed that numbers were way down last year B&B's seem to have felt the need to up their nightly price by 10 pounds

Must say I'll be thinking twice before booking again next year

got a B+B in Montpellier. got badly stung, €50 per man per night in semi detached house with no parking!.

Heading over Thursday night back Sunday night.

Baracuda package. €36 seems like the best deal. Cant believe I cant get a freebie.
