Replacing my Titleist DCI 990s

I am a 9 handicap golfer, my weakness is off the tee, I hit my irons really well, possibly with the exception of the 3 iron which can be a bit less reliable. I dont go golf club shopping very often, I bought these ones about 6 or 7 years ago, maybe more, when they had been on the market for a good while and a new release was coming out. I remember thinking that I really liked the look of Mizuno irons the last time I was looking.

So the question is....has anyone on here previously owned & liked the DCI 990s and moved onto something else that they like even more. If so, you might take the time to let me know what your experiences were with the DCIs and the new ones.

Other question, and I think I know the answer - am I mad to think about changing my clubs when I like them and I'm hitting them well? I just want to be sure that there is not something out there that might help me hit it even better!!

I hear you, it's been a long & quiet day at work, I ended up looking up user reviews of the titleist dci 990s and consensus was they are a great club, but not too forgiving. Then I got to thinking that maybe I should try out a few other irons that might give a little more length or be a bit more forgiving etc. But, as you say, what am I thinking about? Turning into my father I think, a genetic need to alter equipment, and the need increases as one gets older! He got custom fit at great expense in Fore Golf for all 4 woods in his bag about 3 years ago, and bought a new driver the other day, already having gone back to the driver previous to the Fore golf one. My future is going to be trying!!

I used to play with dci's. I moved onto AP2's. Couldn't be happier.

I too play with the AP2's. Can't see myself changing for a good while. Great club

Thanks. Any reason you changed, any improvements noticed regarding the club, or your game having moved would be appreciated.
