    hi there

i was looking into this myself, to be a secondary school teacher you need a Higher Dip in Education. This is a full time course although DCU does it part time two years not sure about qualifying for that though. Your qualification needs to qualify and that can be checked on www.teachingcouncil.ie this will tell you what subjects you can teach depending on your qualification.

    hope that helps!

You'll need a degree from somewhere. Oscail or the Open University are the best for distance. There's been lots said on it recently if you do a search of the forum.
