Hey guys I received my orientation pack today and I just had a couple of questions regarding it :

When im filling out the form relating to my subject choice do I just detach the pages from booklet and just go to the office and hand them it? e.g Nursing allocation Selection form.

On one of the forms (self declaration) it says Name(please print) __________ does this mean I have to print out the whole page and then fill it in??

    THanks :D

I don't mean to be patronising... but you're going to have to learn eventually to be a bit more self-sufficient in college. People won't lead you by the hand here.

They want you to write (print) your name in a legible non-cursive fashion.

Most of the forms that have to go back are perforated.....so you just pull them out and return them to the office it says you should return them to.

You think that's confusing? Wait until you get a rubber glove in the SU's promiscuity (sorry, Freshers') pack.

    I think you'll find it's a rubber mitten, actually.

No. They've been doing it every year for the last ten years and expect the current incumbents to pass on the tradition without question. It's one of the little things that gives the Students' Union their identity. Sure if feeling as if you're contributing to some fashionable political ideology whilst acting as an agent for a prophylactic manufacturer floats your boat, I'm really happy for them. The SU guy who was paid to dress up in a giant branded sperm outfit (we all know his name) is still trying to pass it off as "juvenille antics".
