I know plenty of people were waiting for this to drop in price!

Not a bad reduction.. though it would have been better with Amazon to pay in sterling of £89.99.. maybe they'll price-match!

    Review

The complete set of all five series of the TV smash hit Battlestar Galactica.

Following a devastating attack on their homeworlds, the only surviving humans of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol cross the galaxy in a space convoy headed by the Battleship Galactica. In hot pursuit are the ruthless Cylons, powerful robots who turned on their human creators and brought about the near annihilation of mankind. The voyagers' last hope is to find the fabled 13th colony: Earth. But with their nemeses in hot pursuit and the revelation that the artificial machines now have the ability to take human form, it's going to be very far from an easy quest.

FYI frakkers, apparently this doesn't stack up against the US version. The US version has problems too, in that the packaging is crap, but it has nearly all the content. See the comments on Play.com and Amazon.com/co.uk for more details. I've decided to forgo both for the moment.

    Incorrect.

It has everything the US one does bar the Plan.

Read the Amazon reviews again if you get a chance, the DVD ones are mixed in with them and the DVD complete set DOESN'T have extras.

BTW: Neither have the Face of the Enemey webisodes.

I won't be buying either of them anyway, I have a different definition of the word "complete". :)

Ah yeah, wait for the plan if you like (not sure the rights issue for the face of the enemy thing will ever be sorted out).

I was just correcting the confusion which Amazon's reviews can bring - they just don't seperate the ones for the DVD and Blu-Ray of the same product very well.

If a new complete set eventually comes out I still might not buy it if it is an even higher price and this one is available for a steal.

Well amazon has finally dropped their price and have price matched play's £89.99. But unlike play you can pay sterling price on amazon so that's roughly €108. Not bad considering one sold on adverts the other day for €105

But there were only 4 series made ;)
I guess series 4.5 is now series 5 ,something that should have been done in the first place.

Would it be worthwhile to upgrade from the dvds?

I don't know from first hand experience but every review I have read has been positively glowing.

Play have put their price up to £117.99 or €165 if your buying in euro.
That doesn't surprise me but what does is amazon have also put up their price to £106. Dam

Now £89.99 on Zavvi. This breaks my heart as I decided to take the plunge last week & I paid £109 for it on amazon. :(

    PWEI,

Don't be disheartened. Zavvi won't ship that over here.
Important Note! We can only ship this product to United Kingdom addresses. We apologise for any inconvenience. All prices include UK VAT and delivery

Any big boxsets, Amazon and Play is your only hope. Both this and ER: Complete Series have been on my "to buy" list but Amazon and Play are the only ones that'll ship them. And I wouldn't buy from Play.

Even when it was 89.99 on Amazon I was hoping for another discount.

Wonder if its worth holding out for a complete box set that has the plan in it.
