    Hi All,

So today I'm starting it! I've promised myself for years that I'd do route 66, Chicago to La.

The savings are increasing so I'm going to start pricing and planning today. Of those of you who have done it, who did you book with?

To live the dream for the couple of weeks, I want to hire a convertible, anyone managed to get one?

Ideally, I'd lile to book it as a package rather than flights, car hire, hotels etc seperately.
So of anyone who's done it, please elaborate on how to make it!!

    Thanks!

The whole idea of driving Route 66 just doesn't go with asking if you can get it as a package deal! It's supposed to be able the freedom of the road as having a timetable of places to get to by certain times.

No problems in hiring a convertable though. Carhire3000 or Novacar should give you a good deal but remember that there's be an extra charge for the 1-way hire.

If you can, try to find a place where you can hire a convertible Mustang.
