I bought Trina Solar Ltd. (TSL) in a pre-bell dip to $21.53 on Tuesday, by the days end the position was approximately 10% in the black.

In anticipation of negative day yesterday I bought Goldcorp (GG) to offset any losses the TSL stock would incur (relatively little at .63%). GG itself performed better then I had thought, ending the day at $41.96 (at a gain of 3.25%).

The above would represent, at a brushstroke, a practice of mine: when I forecast a negative day I will buy a 'Gold' stock with the hope of realizing a relatively high one/ two day return. Essentially riding on the coat-tails of market panic. Do any amongst you conform to any similar strategies?

Would you like to share any opinions/ forecasts regarding the prospects of TSL? Personally it will represent a very optimistic long term earner in my portfolio, although I see great opportunity for others amongst you in the medium term.
