How did they get my pic?

Okay, my picture was posted by someone on another forum against my will by an anonymous id.

I have only sent that pic to one person on that particular website. The reason i think it might not be them beyond the fact i don't think they'd do that to me was that the pic was somewhat blurry which leads me to believe it was blown up in size, from a smaller version of the pic. A version smaller than the one i sent.

I'm thinking it may have been taken from a yahoo messenger status pic, if possible?

    Any ideas?

I'm not so much worried that my pic was shown, more concerned with security, could they have taken it directly from my computer?

Have you searched Google Images to see if there are any other instances of you picture online.

Yeah, it's not linked to my id on that website or my real name, it's not linked to my real name in anything as i don't use social networks or what have you. The only way that picture was out there was on a yahoo status display pic or sent to one person.

I'm just worried that someone might have taken it directly from my computer. Is that even possible through a forum?

Very unlikely . Where is the picture hosted now?

They are hosting it on imageshack. I think it was stolen from yahoo, a quick google tells me of software that allows people to steal display images, my yahoo id is the same as the id i use on that website and the pic appears to be blown up, as the yahoo display pics are pretty small.

It's no longer on it and hasn't been for a while, you can't right click and save Yahoo status pics, or at least i can't.

This is some info about privicy settings.
Is your concern more about the forum this picture is on or the fact that it can be copied?
You could always contact the forum & ask for it to be removed.
Once a picture is viewable on any internet page it can be copied one way or another.

I found out it was the psycho i sent the pic to that did it. Which is a relief, really. I was concerned that someone took them straight off my computer.

Thank you for your help, Koolkid.

If you see it, you can copy it - Print screen.
