Small diesel car for under 2000 euros???

    I'm looking for a small diesel car for under 2000 euros, must be low maintenance, reliable and good on fuel, any ideas?

    Small (and good) diesels are a relatively new invention.
    For that money I can't think of many cars that meet all of those criteria within your budget.

    There's a 1.7 litre diesel Opel Astra, those could be had for 2k.
    The Peugeot 206 is available with a 1.4 diesel for that price. I'm not sure if many people would consider them a reliable car though.

    If it's not too small a 106 1.5 diesel? Rare enough over here though
