A similar thread of Google redirecting a bit randomly. I just don't get it.

Google.ie is dragging it's legs, listing results after a reload and then the chosen link sends me back to a plain google page.

Google.co.uk works fine and doesn't seem to have problems.

I have used (in safe mode):
Malwarebytes
Spybot search and destroy
Super AntiSpyware
McAfee

Caught a good few problems, at least I am not being redirected to porn sites.

I've also done a Disk Cleanup.

What else shall I do...I really need to use google.ie.

Yeah, I know...answering my own question. But I think I found the answer...

Saw this on the Google Help Forum
The "host file fix" from pctechwill two post above worked for me.

I went to www.microsoft.com and type in "host file fix" and it tooke me to a page (without a redirect). I clicked on the Microsoft FixIt icon (little guy with a wrench and hat) and it immediatly fixxed the issue after a quick reboot!

or just go to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034/en-us
Downloaded it, installed it, run and reboot. Fixed (cross my fingers!)
