Before I get a Freesat system, if you have one, could you tell me if your subtitles work perfectly on the main channels?

They dont work properly on BBC anyway.
If you pause live tv then you get subtitles appearing in the playback and you cant turn them off.

If you are using subtitles anyway, that wont be a problem though.

Work fine on mine - Grundig Sat4Free box. Occasionally they've locked up when the button is pressed on/off rapidly (clumsy fingers). Other than that perfect the few times I've used them.

    Thanks guys,

cjt156 - Did you install it yourself or get a pro to do it?
I'm thinking of doing it myself but think that there might be a risk of not aligning it exactly right and not getting the subtitles.
    Does your BBC work o.k.?

LevelSpirit - what kind of box/system have you? Did you install it?

Do others have problems with BBC on Freesat? (I know it's noted elsewhere that there are on subscription providers)

Installed myself. I have the luxury of a concrete flat-roofed garage and a south facing garden. This meant I could bolt the dish and stand together and then rotate the whole thing without it moving out of alignment once I let go.
After trawling through the advice here and using dishpointer.com to get the orientation right I picked up 28.2E within seconds.
All stations come in loud & clear and any that have subtitles seem to work fine (don't use them often).

Delighted with it; all for less than 150 euros and an afternoon's DIY.
    Best of luck.
