Most jewellers in Antwerp are to be avoided. Especially the ones directly outside the train station.

Here are my comments on the subject.

I know it can be exciting and you just can't wait the extra few weeks but consider this, you are going to be wearing this ring for the rest of your life. Take your time and choose wisely.

It's important that you at least have a vague idea, start looking a rings on the net now and picking your favs. Remember also, they might look good on a picture but that doesn't mean they will suit your hand.

You must email them. They will only see you if you have an appointment.

Hi have just got engaged and we are thinking of heading to Antwerp for the ring. All tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I have looked around a few shops and I'm a little inclined to vintage / antique style rings. They just seem to me to be more interesting and have more character.I also really like sapphires ? Can u get those style rings in Antwerp. Is it just diamonds in Antwerp? Would it to be silly to go fir a sapphire?? Help! Am feeling a little lost!! Sorry couldn't figure out how to start a new thread so I'm crashing this one!

I as lucky enough to walk off the street to get a sit down with Phillipe Harold. Really worth a visit it there.

Went back and also got our wedding rings there

Hi Guys, we bought our ring off off Phillipe Harrold. He gave us a customer number, and said if we recommend anyone, he would give us a discount on further purchases.

So If anyone heading over wants to use say I recommended them, they would be saving me 10% on our wedding bands.....

PM me and Ill send details.....

We went to Diamondland as they were the only place open on a Saturday and they were brilliant and very quick. Emailed them and made an appointment for 11am, spent an hour looking at stones and settings, went away to think about it, called them and it was ready to pick up at about 4pm. They also gave us a night free in a local hotel for purchasing from them.

Got our wedding rings from them aswell at a very reasonable price, even took the dog down once! Couldn't recommend them enough. Professional, approachable and not out to screw you :).
