Well Mish Moneypenny! Who'd have thunk it. A man of many parts and one accent. Well not that many parts - ageless action hero and er thats it really. Still he does it really well.

80 eh? Almost as old as you Mike :p

Was watching Outland the other night. A most enjoyable Connery film.

    Yesh!

from Darby O'Gill to League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Hmm, well I'm sure he made some decent movies in between all those.

I've always been a fan. Lord knows why, when you think of some of the almighty sh*te he's been in. Some truly terrible films that are hypnotically entertaining. Zardoz is a perfect example.

But he's in some of my favourite films too. Bond, obviously, The Offence, The First Great Train Robbery, The Hunt For Red October and even The Rock is a good old fashioned action romp.

And apparently he was offered the role of Morpheus in the Matrix. That would have been mental looking.

Was that actually a serious interview?

It actually is believe it or not! Sorry there's a jokey bit at end of the vid there but he originally said it years before in an interview and then the interviewer brought it up in a more recent interview to see if he regretted what he had said

Gotta love Connery. Anyone ever watch The Anderson Tapes? Sidney Lumet-directed. Connery was in Hell Drivers too, another great film (that starred the excellent Stanley Baker).
