I have read this article about Ireland's credit rating and I'm rather baffled. The accompanying photos include a shot of the Chain Bridge in Budapest, Hungary. Err, what's the connection?

    G'wan the comments!

    Hungary, Hungary CEOs?

Everyone knows Buda and Pest are two distinct cities on opposite banks of the Danube.

Dub and Lin are two distinct cities on opposite banks of the Liffey. Which one is which? Well, all the Dubs live on the northside. :pac:

It's an easy mistake to make.

I've been to Budapest and between it and Dublin, there are strong similarities.

    Not really.

We should offer to sell that bridge to the international community to cover some of the debts and tell the buyer they could profit by charging a toll.

Sure didn't RTE mix up Georgia with Georgia during the Russian inspired crackdown a couple of year ago!?.

BUD and DUB are the 3-letter IATA codes associated with the two cities. Maybe that's how the mix-up occured?

NTMA has been around since the early 90's. Deals with all sorts of stuff, national debt, national pension fund and the like. NAMA is like a sub division of the NTMA dealing specifically with the banking issues.
