Speeding ticket in Europe

    Lets leave aside the morals of this for a while. If a speeding fine from a continental EU country was to make its way to my mail box, what should I do? Are there any repercussions of not paying?

    I recently drove across Europe to Romania, and back, in my own car. Is there any likelihood that a ticket would even reach me?

    Well leaving morals out of it, you'd be mad to pay it. Including morals, you'd be mad to pay it.

    Theres no ticket here, but I'm convinced we set off a few cameras:) All I really need to know is;
    a: Would a fine even get here?
    b: If I did get a fine,would there be repercussions of not paying?

    If it was in Romania I doubt it, they will stop you there and then for whatever genuine or fictional reason and prefer bribes in cash.:D
    Not sure about the rest of Europe, when I had my foreign reg here I knew I was safe, but that is a while ago so things might have changed.
    There is a cross border agreement AFAIK but not sure if it goes further as of this point.
    You may get a fine but there is no mechanism for points outside Ireland and the UK.

    Unless they stop you at the roadside, they have no access to Pulse and hence have no address to send the Ticket to.

    Unless of course it was a Rental ... and then the Rental company will just bill you when you get the ticket.

    The Germans give points to foreigners that remain on record if you ever attempt to exchange for a German license.
