Hiring a van at IKEA

Not sure if this is in the right place, if not mods feel free to move it.

A relative of mine is moving house at the weekend and will be getting some furniture in IKEA. Apparently they do van hire for €36 - €60 (depending on half day or full day).

I rang up to get more details but I think I was put through to a UK call centre, where they said that you cant book the van in advance, you have to just turn up and hope there's one available. Also, I was told that van insurance for the day was included.

Just wondering if anyone here has used the service, and how did you find it?
