Hi. Can anyone tell me why I am having problems using real player to play a dvd on the p.c? I never had a problem until last week.A pop up appears in a real player sp box saying couldn't contact the internet?

Seems to me that it's trying to download a codec.

Just install vlc. Works a charm.

I to try to avoid Real Player as much as possible, so that's why it was just a guess at that message.

Have you tried googling the error?

Again to me it just looks like it was trying to either download a codec (say divx) to play the file or to search for the disc information (which is more likely). I'm sure you can turn that option off in the preferences.
