    Hi,

Can you burn waste wood in a wood burning stove. Waste wood such as off cuts of varnished skirting boards, door frames, architraves etc, chipboard, plywood, off cuts from wooden floors(oak and walnut), off cuts of treated fencing posts.....generally, types of wood you'd find in a new house build. None of the wood is painted

The burner isn't used to heat water, just a room.

    Cheers.
    Bob.

Of course you can. I sawed up all the leftovers from building my house and burned them in the stove. It will burn very hot though, so you will need to keep a good eye on the air controls.

The only stuff u should burn is dry untreated natural timber.
No chip, no ply, no pressure treated, no varnished, no laminate, no mdf

The reason is internal and external pollution as well as creating very toxic compounds in the flue
