    Saw a good Fallow stag and pricket swim accross the shannon one day last year when I was out duck hunting, current brought them withing a yard of our boat. Very impressive.

    I was out hunting with a pack of hounds last year and they were hunting between to lakes and then a massive red stag broke from cover behind where we were standing and straight in to the lake and swam the 200 yards plus and out the other side and away. thank god the hounds don't bother with them or it would be a disaster, but we couldn't believe at the ease he swam with pity didn't get him with the camera phone it was impressive seeing him go across with the big rack sticking out of the water.
