Campbells Tyres in Clane, Kildare sold me some at one point. Ring them and I'm sure they can get them or they even might already have them :)

I had Federal tyres and they were appalling.

I haven't heard anything good about Federal, especially in wet conditions, so I don't know why you would be searching them out!

There's nothing wrong with Federal tires. I had them on my JCW, and I came second on track at Silverstone last year at one of the (many) session at the MINI United festival.

    Seem to be the importers.

If you give them a call they'll probably tell you who they sell to in your area.

Good to hear, I'm thinking of getting a set for the ZT, they are not too bad pricewise.

    which ones?

the most commonly seen supersteel 595 jobbies are crap at best and downright dangerous at worst

The reason that the are "not too bad pricewise" is because they are shocking on wet roads! A Saving of 20 euro per tyre isn't worth it coming into winter.

You might want to mind the tone there.

one id find out which federal tyres PD was running, i doubt they were the usual muck that gets sold as a budget tyre

two the track day was probably in the dry, id look into their credentials in the wet,

for decent budget tyres you cant do better than falken 452 or 912s

In fairness I was responding to a comment that stated I was considering Federals for a saving of €20 a tyre, that figure was incorrect by a magnitude of 4 times.

Apologies to Japasca for the tone though.

...well I have Federal 452's from Camskill on my Porsche, and I find them good. That they were well priced is a ++, I bought 6 for........400 ?

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Bought 4 low-profile federals, had to have 3 of them replaced within a couple of months due to faulty manufacture. Tyre dealer didn't contest it with me.
Would never go back to them.

Not sure what they are like as performance tyres but I have them on the Corolla James and they are shocking in the wet if you are pushing on any little bit.

Search out a better tyre. I have Hankooks on the front and they are far better although I still prefer Dunlops and Michelins
