Is anyone besides me quite annoyed at the fact that o2 still havn't released a Froyo rom for the Desire yet, it's been over 3 weeks since the Modified Froyo from HTC was released let alone the fact that the actual Froyo rom has been out since May 20th.
I can understand HTC taking a while to port the Sense UI and 'fine tuning' it or whatever they want to call it but seriously, nearly a month to make sure their o2 bubble splash screen on booting works, I don't even know if they have anything else on the phone, at least I couldn't find anything.

I think it's just blatant laziness that they don't release a Froyo rom within a few days of HTC releasing their's. And to say the least I'm very displeased with o2's service at the moment, considering I changed network to purchase a locked phone, that is now behind on a major operating system update that unbranded phones have access to.

This has been bugging the hell out of me too... it's all over the UK and I think Vodafone has started rolling it out here in Ireland...

Does it not possibly interfere with Voda if they do...eg switching on UMTS-900 is one of the main features of the upgrade.

well thats why its easier to root :) and get rid of the o2 branding at all :)

i had it on my HD2...o2 not providing the newest updates for the phone...so just hacked it and installed the newest ones :) far less frustration that way

yeah I was heavily considering it alright see'ing as o2 don't add any features whatsoever.
