Hey guys any help on this would be much appreciated.

I had to do re-install Windows Vista Home Premium on my GF's laptop after install a new hard drive due to the original one getting screwed.

Everything is working fine now except the Wireless connections. I updated all the drivers from Dell which fixed all the garphic, sound, etc. problems but there still seems to be a problem setting up the Wireless/Wi-Fi connections.

I can connect to the router using an Ethernet cable just fine, but when i try to connect wirelessly it fails. I have the WiFi switch to on but doesnt seem to be working properly.

The current network adaptor in the laptop is a "Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller" which seems to be working fine, but i cant seem to find a wirelss adaptor (which on my own dell laptop is a Dell wireless WLAN mini card).

    Any one got any suggestions?
And like i said, i've installed all the latest updates/drivers.

Try a repair by hitting F8 repeatedly at boot and selecting repair from boot options menu. I googled, but can't get any answer on this.
Also try use kind of that programs http://www.driverguide.com/ . It might help find Your wireless card (Wireless 1490 802.11a/b/g Mini PCI Card) also might it help http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=776626 . Read it carefully.
