    Hi guys,

    Just wondering if anybody here is currently working for Paddy Power or has done in the past. Mainly asking about odds compiling or trading positions. What is the work like and what can you expecting to do daily?

    Anyone applied for positions there recently??

    Knew a guy who worked for them compiling odds for their website. He was a statistician and maths genius and got great joy out of compiling odds in an effort to beat the punter. You have to be an expert on probabilities and be able to add them all up in your head pretty quick to arrive at an over round, ie the bookies profit margin over the actual probabilities of all events happening.

    Said it was a fab job (he's now in London) but it takes place at a very fast pace (you're setting odds on several events at the same time, not just sitting there watching one game of football).

    Hiye just seen this site do you still work for paddy power? Can you tell me what the assessment day is about if you get through to it?
