Try restarting it and press Delete or F8 depending on the machine to get into the startup options. Choose last known configuration that worked.

F2 gives me Setup utility but i dont think F8 or del do anything..

I have an Acer aspire 5735 running windows 7

F2 is the setup command to go in to the BIOS... After the POST, just as Windows is starting you need to press F8 to enter the Windows Advanced Menu. From here you will need to choose Last Known Good Configuration or if that doesnt work try Safe Mode.

Boot up, once you get past the POST screen/logo on boot, tap F8 repeatedly. You should get the Windows boot loader offering you the choice of "Start Windows Normally", "Safe mode" and a few others.

Are you having to power the laptop off by holding down the power key when it hangs? If so, you should automatically be seeing the option of booting into Safe Mode afterwards. Not getting that far is a bit worrying.

Another thing worth trying is booting from your installation DVD and using the Startup Repair option.

Hmm, the Blue Screen Of Death makes it sound like a driver issue - I had a similar thing on my desktop at home for a good while.

Once you see Starting Windows, it's too late to use F8 to get into the startup menu - hitting F8 should (but doesn't always) get you a menu like the one you're already seeing with "Launch Startup Repair" and "Start Windows Normally", but also giving extra options like Safe Mode, Safe Mode With Networking and so on. (Here are instructions from Microsoft describing Safe Mode and how to get into it).

Do you have an installation DVD and a DVD drive in the laptop? If Safe Mode won't work, you could try booting from the DVD and using System Restore to roll back whatever change has caused the problem. (System Restore FAQ from Microsoft).

Still the same sh*t hanging on the starting windows screen...

Even started it on last good known configuration...

How about i reinstall windows 7 in safe mode?

Not possible to reinstall in Safe Mode or normal mode, when doing a reinstall you usually boot to the Windows CD and then install to the hard drive from it. ... You have two options on reinstalling, in place reinstall (i.e. installing OVER windows which rarely sorts out anything) or clean reinstall (i.e. forgo the current Windows and do a full new install - also requires reinstalling all applications and hardware)

It's a lot of hassle to reinstall, I would exhaust all other possibilities before proceeding with this. And ensure that you have all the required disks (Windows, Office etc etc) before you even attempt to reinstall. An image of the error would help.

What Restore Point did you choose? (You should normally have a selection to choose from)

If even Safe Mode isn't working for you, it's looking a bit more serious alright. Try booting up with Safe Mode and choosing the extra option "Enable VGA Mode" - that should force a very basic video driver, and if it works it'll confirm that the video driver is the source of your problem.

If that doesn't work, I'd suggest booting from your Windows 7 DVD and using the "repair my computer" option.

OK, if you can get Safe Mode working, try the following before you do anything else like reinstalling:
    • Boot Into Safe Mode
    • Right-click on your desktop and select "resolution"
    • Click "Advanced settings"
    • In the Adapter Type tab, click "Properties"
    • Select the Driver tab, then click "Update Driver"
    • Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
    • Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers"
    • With the "show compatible hardware" option ticked, select "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter", then click Next.
    • Reboot when prompted, and test

This should at least get you back to a point where you can boot normally, though your display may not work. At that point, you need to find out what driver you should be using for your display and install the latest supported version of it.

I have no update driver button in the driver tab..

    All it says is:

    "VgaSave

    Service Name : VgaSave
    Display Name : VgaSave

    Current Status

    Status Started
(Then two buttons Start and Stop)

    Startup:

Type: A drop down menu with Automatic
    Boot
    Demand
    System
    Disabled

And a driver details button then

Hmmm, in that case try this:
    • In Safe Mode, right click on Computer (on your desktop) and select Manage
    • Go to System Tools > Device Manager
    • Under Display Adapter, find your graphics card (probably listed as Intel HD, Intel GM945 or something like that)
    • Right click on your graphics card and select "update driver software"
    • Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
    • Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers"
    • With the "show compatible hardware" option ticked, select "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter", then click Next.
    • Reboot when prompted, and test
