Ok il answer that for myself. Yes i am. But i am so scared of how it will all turn out.

I have been in a dead end job and going nowhere. My only options was to get out and go do something else that doesn't require qualifications or follow my dream. If i went into another job it probably would have been another dead end job and at 28 and my twenties wasted and not being happy with my life and how it turned out so far, i have decided to return to education.

Once i finish the course, i dont know what will happen. Will i find work, though im willing to move also. If it doesn't work out, i dont know what else i would like to do. I know its a chance i have to take and i will be happy for at least trying but the last thing i want is to end up back at square one in another dead end job.

Not sure what im asking but has anyone any similar experiences and has it all worked out for the better?

What if? What if? What if?

You could spend the next few years saying this while working in a job you hate.

Take the leap, you won't regret it. I'm going into 2nd year after changing careers. I know now, before I've even finished the course, it's been the best thing I could have done. Not only am I doing something I love and have an interest in, I've found other interests through college life and have met some amazing people.

It is a huge step and you will have to make sacrifices but it is worth it!

I was in the same position myself a few years back.
Got my qualifications but found it extremely difficult to get a good job in my area of interest. Ended up falling back on an old dead end job. Went straight back into my comfort zone where I knew everything and more needed for this dead end job and just wasted a few years. One day I just went in and said I'm finished at the end of the month and refused to back down even when offered more money.

Took me a month or so before I found a job, and I'm still there now, approaching 5 years, on a LOT more money, easier hours and for the most part, it's good, it had good career oppertunities too. Not as many now that the country is in the crapper, but even still I've got options.

I suggest you go for it. No point staying in a job where you find yourself hating each day a little more.
Bit of a ramble there, sorry about that
