During the match on sunday, did anyone else hear one of the commentators saying something like "well if he had of thought a bit more about that, he should have really went down and won the free, from where the ref was standing ... etc"...

I was fairly pissed off when I heard this, promoting this kind of CRAP in the game...diving is what really is frustrating for me in the game at the moment. I cant remember even what player it was or what team as it was a high intensity game and I kind of forgot about it, but Id like to know! anyone any ideas.

Anyone else hear this, what commentator was it?

Probably a Dublin player as the Cork players didn't need that much invitation to go down!:D
This is frustrating for me too, there seems to be a consencus now that getting a nudge and going down are part of the game. What I used to like is that it was what seperated us from the twinkly toed soccer boys, our men could give a hit and take a hit.

What drives me mad is when a tackle is coming in, the player in possession dips his head down into the tackle and hey presto, the tackling player is booked for a high tackle.
This happens all the time and I'm amazed referees are constantly conned by this.

Was listening to Newstalk on Friday evening in the car and the pundits were alluding to and encouraging Cork to go with the gameplan of drawing frees in their full forward line.

    Made me sick.:(
