Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with my Laptop at the moment. When I'm browsing on the net and press the start button, volume or internet icons on the menu bar they take ages to open and sometimes don't unless I log off which can get very annoying. Would anyone have a solution or tip to help solve this as its getting extremely frustrating!!
    Thanks!

sounds like your laptop is running slow, have you done a disk clean-up and a disk defragmentation. It could also be the ram, what sort of ram is in it at the moment

Cheers for the reply Rob. The Ram is 3.00 GB (2.86GB Usable). I have not done a disk clean up or defragmentation for around a month now so I will give it a go. If anyone has any sort of idea on how to analyse the computers performance on windows 7 it would be much appreciated and might help identify the problem!:)

In my experience primary reason for slow running in Windows is virus/malware so I would check for that before doing the other stuff.

If you want AV/Malware recommendation use Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes preferably in safe mode.
