Check this one out, the latest patent application from Apple. Patently Apple, a website that tracks Apple’s patent applications, said that the patent clearly outlined how the device would switch between OS X for desktop computing tasks and its mobile equivalent, iOS, for more iPad-style uses

Here is the link for more details

A device that can run one of two operating systems depending upon how you hold it :D

Saw this earlier alright, and it actually does look like a device Apple would release. Apple Patent alot of ideas, and alot never see the light of day. But incorporating a Touchscreen into the iMacs is the next logical step for them and this does look like a very simple, yet effective idea.

I've played around with the those HP touchscreen computers, and they were quite awkward to use and not very practical. It would make more since to be able to tilt it when using the touchscreen.

Isn't this just a variant of the touch screen pcs that have been out for ages?
But with the Apple logo and OS along for the ride, not to mention a price tag to match?
Is it a glorified docking station? You set the iPad device into the base to get "extras" then undock to fiddle with your apps on the go?
