If you have a folder in your C drive called windows.old.
go into the devise manager-properties of your audio devise and point the install driver wizard into the windows.old folder.

    From Dell's website:
Relevant driver for Windows XP (taken from the drivers provided by Dell for most recent supported OS on this hardware)
Possible driver for Windows 7 32-bit (taken from drivers provided by Dell for the Optiplex 780)
Possible driver for Windows 7 64-bit (taken from drivers provided by Dell for the Optiplex 780)

If none of those steps work, you could try following these instructions concerning the Microsoft Update Catalog. (You'll need to use IE and run as administrator in order to install and the catalog plugin, but having tried it I can see the relevant driver is available there).
