Teeth Whitening Laser Vs. Bleaching?

I'm looking to get some treatment done and I haven't been able to find anyone who's had personal experience of the laser route. Is it safe?

Time is against me as I am traveling soon and I don't have several weeks, plus I'm useless at applying these kind of things myself so Laser treatment would be a far better option.

Where can I get this done in Dublin? Professionally? And how much does it cost? Thank you for relies.

Hi, there is no such thing as "laser" bleaching. There are 2 options really for bleaching
    1) In office: you get it done in the dental chair, a gel is put on the teth and a bright light placed over the teeth. This whitening tends to be quite short lived and usually needs to be followed up by at home bleaching. Often called "zoom". This is all done for you so if you dont think you will be very compliant then this is the one for you but the results wont be as good
    2) At home: trays you get made at the dentist and you wear them at night or as much as you can for a week or 10 days. This method gives the best results but requires a bit of co-operation on your behalf.

costs vary greatly, just make sure a dentist is doing the treatment, not a beautician or hairdresser or candlestick maker

    Thank you.

One more question....what is laser then?

Did you even read the post above?
The vast majority of so called 'laser' bleaching in Ireland is actually light activated bleaching that uses visible blue light as an activator for hydrogen peroxide. Studies have shown that the main gains in colour or whiteness from these systems is from dessication or drying out of the teeth by the light, which temporarily changes the optical properties of the tooth.

So 'laser' whitening is at best a misnomer, at worst a blatant lie in most cases.

I should also be pointed out that so called laser whitening only works well for some people mostly young patients.
