The following is a cut and paste from TGDL 10 Draft

Use certified details which have been
    assessed in accordance and
compliance with Appendix D by a
person suitably qualified eg third party
    certification, Agrement certification, a
    member of an approved thermal
    modelers scheme (to be developed)

or equivalent for all key junctions.

For those cases where a building is not assembled entirely as per the Acceptable Details

    Technically necessary .....

    but ....

More fees to Chevron / NSAI / SEAI (maybe ) . More unpaid work for the rest of us

Ya i saw this when it was published. This will be interesting to see how they plan to assess/train the assessors.

Using the software is one thing...understanding the fundamentals/physics behind thermal bridging is another. When you delve into the ISO standards etc it becomes alot more complex.

Although there is free software available it is really only for two-dimensional (2D) simulation. (further calculations needed to complete). When you start looking ath three-dimensional (3D) bridging things start to get expensive! Software from €1000 upwards --->

I wonder is Hygrothermal assessment going to be apart of this panel?
probably be different grade assessors.
