    Anyone seen this movie?

I remember seeing it in the mid-90s in I think the Lighthouse or maybe the IFC, and thinking it was astonishingly good and very evocative in the context of the unfolding Balkan conflict at that time.

Have seen no mention of it since, I don't think it did especially well at the box office and doesn't seem to be remembered as a classic of the '90s.

On a seperate but linked subject. Harvey Keitel. Whats he up to? Has he been in any movies of note lately. Around the time of Ulysses Gaze, he was in a super run of movies, from Thelma&Louise, Bugsy, through the Tarantino movies Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, as well as the brilliant Smoke and Blue in the Face, and also The Piano and Ulysses Gaze. A stunning run of movies over a five year period from 91-96.....not forgetting Cop Land a few years later, a fine movie. He's gone all quiet. or maybe there's just no good movies being made.

Was the poster for Ulysses Gaze Keital is in a rowing boat with a backdrop of a port city behind him?
I remember he played a 'Cleaner' in a movie before the rip-off merchant Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. It was just a low-budget 'innocents getting into trouble' summer time-waster.

    What's he doing now?
He's on strike because The Bad Lieutant was remade.
