Not many scrapped 120's I'd say about if that's the model you're driving. Have you checked the bay etc?

Have you considered an aftermarket product or does it have to be oem? It might be quite tricky to install. It may have to hook up to the stereo to read update cd's or have some sort of cd reading unit installed under one of the seats. You'd have to install the comm device too.

Ye it's the 120 model that I have,I wouldn't be too worried about installing it,I cud do that myself,I have seen a few on flee bay but all made in china and would be afraid the format would be crap on them, alpine and kenwood units are crazy money,so ideally if I could get a second hand oem unit with all the bells and whistles it would be great.thanks for the reply.

its actually a fairly big job, have done it before, not only do you need to fit the head unit but if your cruiser doesnt have auto climate control, you have to convert that too as that is part of the unit and controls your a/c also dvd drive goes behind glovebox and facia in glovebox has to be replaced, also gps antenna is located in the rear roof so you need that too!

Toyota did a more basic satnav for the 120 without dual climate.
Double din unit that looks the same as the one in the rav4 up to 2006.
    Fitted to lc3 models afaik.

Better to get a second hand double din unit somewhere.
Toyota unit has no audio input.

I'm not too pushed on which device gives me directions as long as they are correct and easy to view.

I had similar requirements as your others however - aux input for ipod an dkids dvd, bluetooth for phone. I went with a single din JVC unit from Halfords. Only cost about 120 notes.

I imagine you could get a reasonably good double din piece of kit with nav for alright money.

The centre piece of the dash is reasonably easy to remove. It's been a few years since I had my 120 but I think you start to remove the coloured part from around the gear shifter and move upwards.

I might have a tech doc on it somewhere. Let me check. They certainly have it somewhere on http://www.toyota-tech.eu/ . They probably even have the oem nav installation instructions.
