Music Tech in Maynooth?

Hey, Going into 6th year in a few days, and I've been strongly considering doing music tech in Maynooth, but I've heard a few bad stories about the course. Anyone want to clear this up for me? Was pretty let down when I heard bad news about it, just want to get some more opinions here.
