Meteor USB connection for Xbox Live?

Does anybody know if it's possible to connect to Xbox Live through a laptop while using a Meteor USB broadband?

I have my ethernet cable plugged in but everytime I try the test connection it won't connect to the network.

I followed this guide; http://www.broadbandgenie.co.uk/blog/20080513490/connect-to-xbox-live-with-a-usb-3g-modem

and it still would not connect. I heard it could be Meteor's NAT settings but I'm not sure.
I'd appreciate if anyone could help,

You need to turn on internet sharing on your laptop. Go to control pannel - network connections -right click on local area connection(or what ever connection is for the internet) - properties - advanced - internet connection sharing - tick the first box. and that's the laptop set to share it's internet connection
