Howdy, so I'm a first year student coming down to Waterford and don't know a soul and am desperately hoping for a LGBT SOC.

Anyone have any iderrrs?

Ow, also any idea on the gay scene in the city, like clubs and pubs and shtuff?

Don't worry theres an LGBT society in WIT, its one of the more productive societies from what I've heard. Honestly couldn't tell you about the gay scene, but Dignity is always a good bet.

Yeah there is an LGBT Soc. They were somewhat active last year as I saw posters and an open day.

There is a pretty vibrant scene in Waterford with quite a few things going on such as a gay basketball league. http://sites.google.com/site/rainbowleagueireland/

The LGBT soc is also quite active as people have already said.
Also not sure how old you are but there is a youth project working with 18-23 year olds. http://www.belongto.org/groups.aspx#Waterford

You'll be able to look up Dignity (waterford) the gay bar on facebook.

Saying that Waterford is very gay friendly and you'll find plenty of gays in most of the pubs and clubs.
