    Hello All
I posted this a number of weeks ago but replies were few.
    Recap:
Dwarf walls upstairs built dirctly on hollow core. These walls are a 4 inch block on their edge. They are constructed approx. 2.5 feet in from the wall plate.
    Issue???
    How to effectively insulate!!
    Suggestions
1). Insulate directly to wall plate from joist level
2). InsuLATE from joist level to top of dwarf wall and then insulate the internal living area of these walls.
    Suggestions???
    Head is fried!!!

Hello, It,s hard to understand what it is you are doing, i will have a go. If you have breathable felt fill between roof rafters down to the wall plate. Use 150mm studs inside, next to blockwork, fill with 150mm insulation between studs. Cover with 30mm Insulated Plasterboard or better. Use vapour barrier on warm side next plasterboard insulation. Detail is very important. Check Homebond Book available in Library. regards

On your last post you said your engineer specified 44mm board insulation. How was this to be secured in place? Is it possible to put 3 layers of this insulation in place with staggered joints?
